About Us
A pioneering ecolieu where community living, regenerative agriculture, and transformative education converge to demonstrate that another way of life is possible and deeply fulfilling.
Regenerating Earth Through Community Living Since 2020
La Ferme du Bout du Monde was founded in 2020 as a response to the urgent need for ecological transformation. We are a unique ecolieu that brings together a community of residents, an agro-ecology training centre and a permaculture farm in a setting conducive to reflection and experimentation.
Our mission is to work towards food and energy self-sufficiency, while promoting agricultural, craft and artistic activities. We believe in creating a hybrid space that serves as a place to live, a place for agricultural activities and a laboratory for experimenting with an ecological and sustainable way of life.
Why “Bout du Monde”?
The name of our eco-environment has a dual meaning: on the one hand, it evokes a remote, isolated location. But it is also a symbol of the end of a world—the one we have known—and of a commitment to a different future.

It is an invitation to profound and radical adaptation. At the end of the world, we discover new forms of joy, creativity and unimaginable possibilities. Our project embodies hope and the transition to a more resilient society that respects the Earth.

Our Three Pillars & How they work
Our work is built on three interconnected pillars that form the foundation of our regenerative approach. Together, these pillars demonstrate that sustainable living is not just about what we do, but how we do it—in connection with each other and the earth.
Living creates the community bonds and shared governance that make collective action possible.
Learning provides the knowledge, skills, and wisdom needed for ecological transformation.
Cultivating applies these principles to regenerate the land while growing both food and community.
Living - The Community & Habitat
The ecolieu functions as a shared habitat, accommodating around ten people, including permanent residents and nomads. This collective way of life allows us to pool resources and know-how and create strong, lasting human connections.
Our community is organized around the principles of shared governance, collective work and respect for nature. Living at the Ferme du Bout du Monde means joining a supportive approach to regenerating the land and communities.
Learning - Education & Training
We believe in holistic learning, involving the head, the heart and the hands. Our training centre offers workshops and courses to help you relearn how to live in harmony with nature, with an emphasis on agro-ecology, permaculture and manual and craft skills.
Through our educational programs we create transformative learning experiences that foster resilience, hope, and sustainability. Our approach focuses on creating new spaces of individual possibility and collective empowerment.
Cultivating - Permaculture & Agriculture
Our polycultural micro-farm aims to regenerate the land and contribute to local biodiversity. We grow not only vegetables, fruit, nuts, mushrooms and micro-organisms, but also a real community.
Each member of the group participates in the food-growing activities, with a view to reducing the use of fossil fuels as much as possible.

“Our animals are partners in regeneration, enriching biodiversity and soil health as integral members of our farming ecosystem.”
The animals on the farm play a key role in the synergy between the different agricultural activities. They are not there for the intensive production of meat or by-products, but to enrich biodiversity, fertilise the soil and help with cultivation. We avoid practices that take up too much land or that are not part of a long-term ecological approach.
