La Ferme du Bout du Monde was founded in 2020 as a response to the urgent need for ecological transformation. We are a unique ecolieu that brings together a community of residents, an agro-ecology training centre and a permaculture farm in a setting conducive to reflection and experimentation.
Our mission is to work towards food and energy self-sufficiency, while promoting agricultural, craft and artistic activities. We believe in creating a hybrid space that serves as a place to live, a place for agricultural activities and a laboratory for experimenting with an ecological and sustainable way of life.
What sets us apart is our integrated approach to sustainability—we don’t just teach ecological principles, we live them daily.
Our community of around ten people, including both permanent residents and nomads, creates a dynamic environment where theory meets practice. Every aspect of our daily life, from the food we grow to the energy we use, becomes part of our collective learning journey. This living laboratory allows us to test innovative solutions, share knowledge across generations, and demonstrate that another way of life is not only possible but deeply fulfilling. Through this immersive experience, we’re building a model that can inspire and inform ecological transitions in communities far beyond our own borders.
Ecosocial Research, Design & Consulting
We develop and employ holistic strategies that regenerate earth- and social-systems through ecosocial design, permaculture training, graphic facilitation, and community resilience consulting.
