What is permaculture?

It’s much more than a gardening tool! Come discover the potential and implementation of this ecological design system.

The word permaculture is a contraction of the words ‘permanent’ and ‘agriculture’. The concept was developed over 40 years ago in Australia.

Permaculture is the most comprehensive synthesis encompassing both the sciences of ecology and life as well as the knowledge of indigenous peoples and ancient agronomic traditions, while integrating societal reflection to design and build sustainable and human living spaces. Permaculture thus allows us to reinvent our living spaces by putting this knowledge into practice. Permaculture is a systemic approach that aims to design, plan and implement ecologically sustainable, socially equitable and economically viable human societies. It is based on an ethic, from which principles and techniques derive, allowing for the integration of human activities with ecosystems.
